Description and Day-wise Itinerary

Arrive Ernakulam train station by any convenient train from Baroda. Meet on arrival and proceed towards the Periyar.
You will visit the Chinese fishing net, Jewish Synagogue and also the Mattancherry Palace. Later continue drive to Periyar. On arrival in Periyar, check-in to hotel.
Overnight stay in hotel. {Dinner in hotel}                 

Day 02 : Periyar.
Morning proceed for the boat ride in Periyar lake. This may give you a chance to see the wild elephants in the natural habitats.
This man-made Periyar Lake shimmers in a green hue, reflecting the surrounding evergreen forests. This stunning artificial lake is created by the Mullapperiyar Dam constructed across the scenic Periyar River. The sanctuary, declared a tiger reserve in 1978, is an ideal spot to catch a glimpse of this magnificent animal. It is also home to the endangered lion-tailed macaques, Nilgiri langurs, elephants, Indian bisons, boars, bears, a wide variety of deer and exotic birds. Boating is the ideal way to explore the sanctuary and to catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife in close quarters.
Afternoon enjoy the Kathakali dance show and also witness

Day 03 : Periyar/ Alleppey
.
After breakfast, you will proceed towards the Alleppey, which is about 150 Kms and takes 4-5 hrs.
Alleppey is one of the most important tourist centers in the state, with a large network of inland canals earning it the sobriquet "Venice of the east". These large network of canals provide Alleppey its lifeline. Alleppey was one of the busiest centers of trade in the past with one of the best known ports along the malabar coast. Even today it retains its charm as the centre for Coir carpet industries and prawn farming. Alleppey the ideal headquarters for backwater tourism as well as for visits to the lovely church filled town of Kottayam, and the town of Aranmula, famous for its historic Aranmula Snake Boat Race which is an annual event. 

On arrival in Alleppey, check-in to the houseboat. Enjoy the lovely backwater from your houseboat.

Note : A/C will be provided only after 10 PM in room area. Also houseboat does not cruise between 6 PM to 8 AM.

Day 04 : Alleppey/ Munnar.
After breakfast in houseboat, check-out from and drice to Munnar, it will take about 4-5 hrs. On arrival in Munnar, check-in to hotel. Rest of the day is free for relax or enjoy the surrounding.
Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 05 : Munnar.
Munnar is a lovely hill station in Kerala, surrounded by tea gardens, misty mountains.
After breakfast proceed to visit the Eravikulam National Park, Idukki Dam, Mattupati Dam, Attukal waterfall, Nyaymkad fall. Evening return to hotel.

Day 06 : Munnar/ Cherai.
Enjoy the delicious breakfast in hotel, later check-out and drive to Cherai, which will take about 4 hrs to reach there. On arrival in Cherai, check-in to hotel.

Cherai, A typical Kerala village with paddy fields and coconut groves nearby makes this place even more beautiful. The main attraction of Cherai is the 'Poyil' a large inland lake forming a part of the calm serene backwaters separated from the ocean by only a narrow sandbar. A boat ride along the palm fringed backwaters and paddy fields is a breathtaking experience you will never forget. The water is calm, crystal clear and you could loose yourselves in the beauty of the surrounding Kerala Village life. One could get a glimpse of country boats ferrying paddy or fish, fishermen casting for the days catch, reapers working in the paddy fields, toddy tappers climbing coconut trees for tapping toddy, ducks wading across the water with their ducklings, storks looking for their prey in the paddy fields etc.

Day 07 : Cherai/ Kochi/ Departure.
Morning in time transfer to Earnakulam train station to board the train for Baroda.
